Celery Juice Update!

Hey there gang! Wanted to give a bit of an update on my celery juicing journey ( I posted an intro on 6/23 with a lot of details about why celery, the health benefits, etc), and explain a little bit more about why I started, what I use to juice, and more. Enjoy!

Why celery juice?

There are several reasons why I wanted to give celery juice a try:

1- I have dealt with acne for as long as I can remember.

2- Unfortunately, my cholesterol is not that great (not horrible, but not great).

3- Since I hit my late 20’s, its been harder for me to loose weight.

4- I’ve experienced issues with brain fog and irregularity.

5- Just wanted to find away to get healthy from the inside out.

After reading Medical Mediums’ Celery Juice book, as well as doing other research, I learned that juicing celery might be able to help with all of the issues/problems I was facing! Celery Juice, come to find out, has many beneficial properties, and has been proven to provide relief for many chronic illnesses, diseases, and more. So I decided to give it a go!

What I use

Juicing, as it turns out, is really easy! All you need is a bunch of celery, a good juicer, and a glass big enough to hold 16 ounces of liquid.

I found my juicer on Amazon and I love it (linked here). It is easy to assemble and take apart to clean, it’s quiet enough to use while others in the house are sleeping, and it doesn’t take up a lot of storage space. The Medical Medium recommends to get a masticating juicer, as it is slower and really gets all of the good stuff out of each stalk of celery for optimum results. The one I found and use is less than $100, too!

I also ordered a set of glass jars (linked here), as glass containers are the best way to store celery juice, if you need to. These glass jars are also perfect for other things, like flavored water!

How much and when to drink it

The Medical Medium suggest that , for optimal results and health benefits, you drink 16 ounces of celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, then wait 15-30 minutes before consuming anything else. Depending on the type of health issues/problems you may be experiencing, you might need to adjust the amount. I started with 8 ounces as celery juice is definitely an acquired taste, and after a couple weeks, it has grown on me. I plan to increase to 16 ounces after next week for added benefits! (For more information, I encourage you to visit medicalmedium.com or purchase the Medical Medium Celery Juice book for more in depth information on benefits, how much to drink, etc.). I’ve linked it from Amazon here!

The actual juicing part is easy. You take a bunch of celery, wash it and trim the bottom, add your stalks to the juicer one at a time ( I cut the stalks into halves or thirds to make it easier to handle), strain if desired, and ta-da! Simply drink and enjoy!

Benefits and results

Since I have only been juicing a few weeks, It is hard to tell/keep track of changes I have felt or experienced. I think the biggest benefits I have noticed have been tied to brain fog and irregularity. I don’t feel as ‘hazy’ or like I am having a hard time thinking of things or staying focused. I hope that once I increase my daily consumption to 16 ounces, I will start to see more benefits and really notice a difference!

I hope to inspire some of you to look into celery juicing as a way to improve your overall health from the inside out! I will continue to share updates on my journey accordingly, so check back here for more info or follow me on Instagram! :)
